Estimated Time: 10-20 minutes

Description: This activity can be conducted independently or with a partner to review taught concepts. On one Post-it® Note record a question, and on another note record the answer. Place the question note on top of the answer note, then secure both onto the inside of a manila folder. On the outside of the folder record the concept that is being reviewed. It is easy to store and manipulate. When the children are preparing for a quiz they can use this activity by reading the question and self check by lifting the question note to reveal the answer.

Estimated Time: 0-10 minutes

Description: Students play "hot potato" with a canister to music. When the music stops, whoever ends up with the canister has to open it and pull out a tongue depreser with a Post-it® tab on the top. Sticks have colored post-it's on the top so students know what genre/category they're choosing. They have to answer the question on the bottom of the stick or define the word. If they get it right, they get to put the post-it tab on the large tablet in the front of the room with their name on it. If they don't get it right, they have to pass the stick to the next person. Every 9 weeks there's a new winner:)
