Materials Needed: Post-it® Super Sticky Notes 3 x 3

Materials Needed:

  • Post-it® Super Sticky Notes 3 x 3

Description:

An eight year old student who has never taken a standardized test using a bubble sheet can easily skip a line and throw off the remaining answers. So, I give each student a 3×3 Post-it® note, and model how to keep track of their work. In addition, at the end of the test, the students use that same post it, as I confirm that all questions have been answered by calling off one number at a time.

Instructions:

Step 1: Hand out a post it note to each student.

Step 2: Hand out bubble sheet/which has been copied on an over-head transparancy.

Step 3: Starting with question #1, model and show students how to track using the post it note. I usually do this several times while the students anser the questions independently.
