Instructions:

Step 1: Divide the class into pairs. The teacher will display a Post-it® Note multiplication racetrack on the board or smart board.

Step 2: The students will place 15 Post-it® Notes in a racetrack configuration, the first of which is labeled Start and the last of which is labeled Finish.

Step 3: For example; Tell the partners to label each Post-it Notes of the four times table on the multiplication racetrack. (0-48).

Step 4: The teacher models the game for the players to take turns moving their playing piece by flipping a penny on heads to move two spaces and tails to move one space.

Step 5: The students take turns landing on a number and calling out the multiplication problem.

Step 6: The players take turns moving the playing piece on the Post-it Note racetrack if they correctly answered with multiplication problem of that number. The player who moves onto Finish wins. Example: The player tosses the penny, his penny lands on heads and he moves two spaces from 4 to 12. He has to come up with a multiplication problem for that factor such as; 3x4=12 His partner checks his answer on the multiplication table Post-it Note chart.
