Multiplication Bingo

Description:

Fun activity to practice multiplication facts.

Instructions:

Step 1: Each player writes the multiplication factors for the two’s and four tables on Post-it® Notes, one per note. Students make a Post-it Notes flip book of the multiplication tables.

Step 2: The students arrange their notes in a square on the flat surface. For 16 words, four rows of four. The teacher models with the class the game by calling out the multiplication problems and students mark their Post-it Note with a marker.

Step 3: The teacher continues until someone marked an entire row on their Bingo “board” and calls “Math Post-it Note Bingo.”

Step 4: The teacher places students in groups of four and the first player turns over the top Post-it Note multiplication flip book and reads the multiplication fact.

Step 5: Players mark their matching Post-It note with a bingo marker. Player puts the Post-it Note in discard pile. The first player(s) to clear four numbers in any direction (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) wins a small prize.

Step 6: To play a new game, students can rearrange their factors or start another multiplication table.
