Description:

Each day a new trivia question is written on the board. Along the side is a list of each students name, when they answer the question they cover their answer with a Post-it® Note, at the end of the day the answers are shown and the students with the corect answer are given a reward.

Instructions:

Step 1: Pick a trivia question that pertains to something the kids are learning, will be learning or have learned, and write it on the board.

Step 2: Along the side of the board make a list of all the students names. At some time throughout the day the students will be allowed to answer the question. Sometimes these questions require the students to use different resources to find the answer.

Step 3: Once they have answered the question they cover their answers with a Post-it® Note.

Step 4: At the end of the day the students answers are shown and the students with the correct answers are given a small reward.

Afterwards:

Objective: To help students gain new knowledge, retain things they have learned and to become more comfortable using diferent types of informaton resources.

Supporting All Learners: Because I have different grade levels I list 2 different questions at different levels.

Assignment/Home Connection: These questions could be used as homework extensions and checked in the morning instead of at end of the day.
