Students preview their text books or reading books and mark pages they are curious about, have questions about, are excited about… with Post-it® Notes. As we go through the book, the students can see their comments from the book preview.
Instructions:
Step 1: Give each student a stack of Post-it Notes.
Step 2: Have students preview their textbook (we usually do this to get students excited about our math curriculum).
Step 3: Students can mark comments, questions, ideas, concerns, etc. on the Post-it Notes and mark the pages of the book as they preview it.
Step 4: Throughout the year the students will see their Post-it Notes and be able to recall their impressions of the text before they had reached this point in the curriculum.
