Description:
This is a fun, adaptable game/review for any subject and grade level.
Students use their notes or book to create questions and answers, ranging in difficulty from 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 pts. The questions will relate to a specific topic with 5 categories. For example, the unit is Ancient Egypt and the categories are – Geography, Pyramids, Rulers, Vocabulary and King Tut. The students write five questions and answers on the Post-it Notes and use the folder to prepare the game like the television game show. This game is used as review for the chapter test and can be reused for future review. The students keep the Post-it Notes in a file box for an additional review on a final exam.
Instructions:
Step 1: First, use a folder or 11 x 14 piece of paper and make 5 rows using 5 Post-it Notes in each row. Start at the bottom and overlap about 1/2 inch so that your Post-it Notes look like shingles on a roof.
Step 2: Next, write 100 to 500 on each Post-it Note.
Step 3: Then on the back of each Post-it Note write 1 question with the answer. The 100 point Post-it Note should be the easiest question.
Step 4: Lastly, continue until you have 25 questions and answers.
