Description:
Students use Post-it® Super Sticky Notes to build a vocabulary chart.
Instructions:
Step 1: Model how to use a vocabulary word chart by introducing the importance of learning new vocabulary words.
Step 2: Write a new vocabulary word on a Post-it® Super Sticky note and place in the center square on the Post-it® Easel Pad. In the other four squares, use Post-it® Super Sticky Notes. The first square will be used to explain the definition of the vocabulary word. The other square will have the part of speech, followed by a sentence with the new word.
Step 3: The last square will be used to illustrate the meaning of the word.
Step 4: Select four students to come to the Post-it® Easel with their Post-it® Super Sticky Notes and place the answers in the correct squares.
Step 5: Form groups of four to work on their own vocabulary word chart using Post-it® Super Sticky Notes. Give a vocabulary to each group to practice using the Vocabulary Word Chart with the Post-it® Super Sticky Notes.
